Data Collection
Rin is designed with a data-minimization approach. Here is what you should know:
- No message content is stored. Rin does not log, save, or record any messages you send in Discord.
- No personal data tracking. We do not track your behavior, usage patterns, or any personally identifiable information.
- Ephemeral processing only. Rin may temporarily process User IDs and Server (Guild) IDs in memory to respond to your commands. This data is never written to disk or stored persistently.
Data Usage
The minimal data that Rin processes in real time is used solely for the following purposes:
- Responding to your slash commands and interactions.
- Executing moderation actions requested by server administrators.
- Playing music in voice channels during your session.
Once a command is processed, the associated data is immediately discarded from memory. We do not use your data for analytics, advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
Third-Party Services
Rin has no affiliation, partnership, or data-sharing relationship with any of the following platforms:
- YouTube
- Spotify
- Any other music streaming service or platform
Rin operates on the Discord platform and is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We encourage you to review Discord's own privacy practices.
Data Storage & Retention
Rin does not maintain any database of user data. We do not store:
- Message content or metadata
- User profiles or preferences
- Server configurations or settings(Discord server settings)
- Voice or audio data
- Usage logs or command history
Since no data is stored, there is no data retention period to disclose.
Information Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties. Since Rin does not collect or store personal data, there is nothing to disclose.
The only exception is compliance with Discord's Terms of Service, which may require us to cooperate with Discord's own moderation and safety teams if required by law.
Data Deletion & Access Requests
Since Rin does not store any personal data, there is typically nothing to delete. However, if you have any concerns or wish to verify whether any data associated with you exists, you are welcome to contact us.
